Investors
O-Flexx Technologies has been funded by venture capital firms and the management since start-up.
Founding investor alongside management was the US-French fund Partech International.
In May 2007, they were joined in a second round of funding by Emerald Technology Ventures (headquartered in Zurich), the Danish fund BankInvest Technology (today: NES Partners, headquartered in Copenhagen) and the venture capital arm of the French Schneider Electric Group, Schneider Electric Ventures (headquartered in Paris).
The group of investors was again expanded by adding the Italian fund ATMOS (headquartered in Milan) and the private investor SAM GmbH (headquartered in Salzburg) in a third round of funding in June 2009, and the Dutch fund SET Venture Partners (headquartered in Amsterdam) in April 2010.

Atmos S.p.A.
Atmos S.p.A. is an Italian private equity and venture capital investor with a focus on renewable energy and cleantech. Atmos was set up in June 2005, and was the first investor in the Italian market to be fully dedicated to these rapidly growing sectors. In its first four years of activity, Atmos invested over EUR 50 million in companies active in the sustainability market.
Atmos' portfolio is well diversified and includes European companies active in the following sectors: photovoltaic, biofuels, wind, biogas, wave energy conversion, energy efficiency and harvesting. Atmos' main aim is to generate returns for its investors by promoting and emphasizing synergies between the investee companies and by exploiting a solid network of contacts including Italian and foreign private equity funds (and their portfolio companies), professionals and experts, universities, associations, entrepreneurs and SMEs.
NES Partners
NES Partners is an experienced fund manager specialized in driving value in unlisted New Energy Solutions companies through active ownership to the benefit of investors and stakeholders. Being among the pioneers in the New-Energy space, NES Partners has since 2002 invested in and contributed to the successful growth of 24 companies within Tidal Power, Solar Power, Biofuels, Fuel Cells, Energy Efficiency, Energy Storage, Smart Grid, Clean Water and Advanced Materials. NES Partners has EUR 160m under management and offices in Copenhagen and Los Angeles. The company was previously known as BankInvest New Energy Solutions.
Emerald Technology Ventures
Emerald Technology Ventures is a global leader in cleantech venture capital and operates from offices in Zurich, Switzerland and Toronto, Canada. Founded in 2000, Emerald is a pioneer in this rapidly emerging sector and focuses on innovative technologies in energy, advanced materials and water. Since its foundation, Emerald has managed three venture capital funds and two venture capital portfolio mandates totalling over EUR 300 million (USD 440 million). Emerald is currently investing out of its most recently established fund and is looking for energetic and passionate entrepreneurs with the vision to build world-class clean technology companies.
PARTECH International
Founded in 1982, Partech International is a leading global venture capital firm. Partech has some USD 650 million under active management, primarily in the US (two-thirds), Europe and Israel (one-third). Its investment team focuses exclusively on technology companies with high return potential.
Partech has been instrumental in helping its portfolio companies develop into market leaders for more than 20 years. Among its successful investments are: Ascend Communications, Alvarion, Business Objects, Cadence, CSG Systems, Digital Island, Informatica, Pentasafe and Vignette.
SAM GmbH
SAM GmbH bundles the investment activities of two business angels from Germany and Austria. They provided investment during the 2009 round of funding.
Schneider Electric Ventures
Schneider Electric Ventures is a venture capital firm sponsored by Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management (2008 revenue: EUR 18.3 billion). Schneider Electric Ventures invests in innovative companies in the energy & power, advanced materials & electronics, and communication & security sectors. Schneider Electric Ventures is currently active in 20 companies in Europe and North America.

SET Venture Partners
SET Venture Partners (SET VP) is the General Partner of Sustainable Energy Technology Fund C.V.. This independent clean-energy focused venture capital fund is funded by Dutch-based companies Energy Resource Holdings B.V. and Delta N.V. for a total of EUR 50 million. SET VP, based in Amsterdam, invests in European, early-stage companies that offer a unique clean-energy technology, product or service, and sustain a competitive market position with a high upside potential. The target companies all take advantage of the market transition from the use of traditional fossil fuels to a more sustainable energy infrastructure and/or increase in the efficiency of energy consumption.
